Paramedic - Emergency Services PRN
Job Description
The Paramedic assists with patient care in the ED under the direction of the RN. Can perform emergency care procedures including assisting with Advanced Life Support under the direction of the physician. He/she is responsible to the ED RN or designee. Is responsible for patient safety and expected to keep knowledge and skills up to date. Maintains proper channels of communication and keeps appropriate persons informed regarding patient's condition. Performs other duties as assigned.(Minimum qualifications for the position)
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic certification required. CPR required.
B. Education: Associates Degree preferred, completion of an accredited paramedic training program.
C. Experience: 1 year.
D. Special qualifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred, National and State Licensure
E. Hours of work: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
Shift Type: Per Diem/PRN
