Using accepted Occupational Therapy theory and technology, the Rehabilitation Staff Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, plans and administers a team approached treatment program to restore maximum function in occupational performance, including functional life skills, musculoskeletal function, perceptual motor abilities, sensory function, developmental processes, pre-vocational and vocational skills and adjustment to disability. The Occupational Therapist complies with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The position should allow organization for timely documentation and charging, staff and student supervision, maintenance of a safe work environment and participation in professional, staff and program development.






















REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, and/or EXPERIENCE

Current Georgia license in Occupational Therapy; demonstrate adequate competence which is measured by successful completion of the departmental checklist - completed by the end of the 90 day probationary period. Prior Rehab experience, current Georgia Occupational Therapy Association, and membership in a professional organization are desired.



REQUIRED LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS

Current Georgia Occupational Therapy license; BLS certification required.



OTHER REQUIRED SPECIAL SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE

Excellent customer service skills are essential. Flexibility and versatility are highly desirable.
