The Medical Technologist has the certification, licensure, education, training and experience to perform laboratory testing according to established and approved protocols that require the broad exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision; maintains equipment and records; performs quality improvement and proficiency activities related to test performance: and may also function as a supervisor, educator, manager, or researcher within a medical laboratory setting. The technician must demonstrate competency, proficiency, and adherence to regulations and requirements of the hospital, laboratory, and regulatory agencies.



The PRN Med Tech will work various shifts, primarily weekends, on an as needed basis.


-Current Louisiana license as a Medical Tech or Med Lab Tech

-1 year of experience preferred
