Registers patients within the ER department professionally, timely, pleasantly, being sensitive to guest services. Assists with sorting and directing patients to triage appropriately. Maintains patient records by appropriately copying and filing per dep.

The Technical Associate functions under the direction of and supervision of the Registered Nursing Staff in the delivery of Emergency Department nursing care.

Ability to provide support to patients, family members and visitors, in order to enhance comfort and security
Ability to respond to emergencies and predictable situations in a calm manner, while exercising good judgement
Effective communication and interpersonal/behavioral skills
Customer service orientation to include skills in problem solving
The completion of an EMS approved paramedic course from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Division of Health Services and participation in a local rescue squad/ambulance company
A minimum of two years experience as an EMT-Paramedic
EMT-Paramedic Certification
