Performs a variety of diagnostic radiological procedures under the clinical direction of a Radiologist. The technologist operates radiographic equipment which produces images in specified body areas.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Registry eligible with ARRT and registered within one year of employment, prior experience in Radiology with previous experience working in a Trauma Center preferred.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT). Those employees that are registry eligible must become registered within 1 year of employment. BLS certification required.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must exhibit excellent communication skills because this position requires frequent verbal and written communications with: physicians, patients, visitors, departmental staff and nursing staff. The employee obtains, presents and discusses clinical information regarding job responsibilities on a routine basis. Candidate must be able to explain or give directions in order to maintain goodwill, and obtain cooperation with all contacts. Must possess the ability to function independently and under pressure while still actively participating in a team environment. Position requires the employee to exhibit excellent customer service skills at all times.
