Using accepted Occupational Therapy theory and technology, the Rehabilitation Staff Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, plans and administers a team approached treatment program to restore maximum function in occupational performance, including functional life skills, musculoskeletal function, perceptual motor abilities, sensory function, developmental processes, pre-vocational and vocational skills and adjustment to disability. The Occupational Therapist complies with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The position should allow organization for timely documentation and charging, staff and student supervision, maintenance of a safe work environment and participation in professional, staff and program development.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:
Demonstrate adequate competence which is measured by successful completion of the departmental checklist - completed by the end of the 90-day probationary period.

Desired:
1) One year's experience
2) Current Occupational Therapy Association
3) Memmbership in a professional organization

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Current Georgia Occupational Therapy license required
BLS required

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Excellent customer service skills are essential. Flexibility and versatility are highly desirable.
