Job Description
The Respiratory Care Practitioner I, II, III, is responsible for providing Respiratory Care to non-critical and critically ill patients in the hospital. Training and services provided by this position are appropriate to patients of all age groups. Applies clinical respiratory judgement to implement a clinical respiratory program and maintains standards for professional respiratory practice in the clinical setting. The RCP I, II, III, communicates necessary information and makes needed recommendations to the physician and nurses as appropriate. This individual is an active participant in the quality improvement process leading to the planning and implementation of new programs and servicesLicensure/certification/registration:
Must have current license to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Texas.
Must have current CPR card.
Experience Required:
Must speak and write English fluently.
Graduate with certificate of completion from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
Two years working experience as a Respiratory Therapist
Special Skills & Qualifications: Perform all general respiratory care procedures. Ability to work in the adult critical care area to include ventilator management, blood gases.
