Exempt Supervisor responsible for the day-to-day operations. Oversees non-licensed personnel functioning in specimen collection, demographic and specimen entry, specimen handling, send outs, labeling and specimen distribution. Assumes responsibility for scheduling non-technical personnel to cover operations while taking fiscal responsibility and for reviewing personnel performance and competency. Apply interpersonal skills to effectively superivise the fast-paced, mulitfaceted customer service section of the laboratory as the Laboratory Support Supervisor. Required to remain competent and perform Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomey procedures, as needed. He/she must be able to work independently, prioritize workload, make accurate entrees, and ensure that patient and test information is correct and that specimens proceed rapidly to the correct testing site. Monitors and edit Kronos time records for the entire laboratory. Assumes responsibility for charge monitoring and compliance within OIG, (Office of Inspector General) guidelines.
