SPEECH THERAPIST - PRN
Job Description
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the acute, SNU and outpatient setting. Communicates with Physicians, supervisors and coworkers as appropriate about changes in the patient's clinical condition. Responsible for providing diagnostic services and prognostic indicators for suspected speech/language, developmental/auditory acquired language deficits, voice or fluency disorders or dysphagia. Responsible for evaluation of functional abilities and deficits, development of plan of care including establishment of long and short term goals based on the age specific needs of the patient. Administers ongoing patient care appropriate to the patient's functional level with reassessment of progress on an ongoing basis. Acts as a mentor and provides ongoing supervision of patient care delegated to speech pathology students.Education: Masters degree from an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline.

Professional Requirement: State of Tennessee Speech Pathology license
Certifications: BLS certification
