Qualifications: Current CA RN license AHA BLS certification. One (1) year recent (within the last three (3) years) full-time equivalent experience or completion of an approved KP or equivalent L&D course within prior 12 months, which includes basic fetal monitoring. Current NRP card required. Successful completion of advanced fetal monitoring course within the past two (2) years. Current ACLS card required in units where patients are recovered. May be expected to cross train to at least 1 other Perinatal area. Ability to scrub and circulate as required. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente's Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures. Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to customers, contracted providers, and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications: BSN. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Computer knowledge of MS Word and electronic medical record documentation.

Notes: If twelve (12) hour option chosen, shift will be 7:00am-7:30pm, back up 8 hour shift will be 3:00pm-11:30pm. Days may vary according to department needs.
