Qualifications: Current CA RN license AHA BLS certification. One (1)-year recent (within the last three (3) years) full-time equivalent experience in Level II nursery or above with completion of KP Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) course or equivalent within prior 12 months. Current NRP card required. May be expected to cross train to at least 1 other Perinatal area. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente's Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures, EEO. Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to customers, contracted providers, and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience in an NICU and successful completion of NICU training program. Willingness to cross-train to other perinatal units. Experience in NICU, Intermediate care nursery, PEDS, ICU or Pediatrics. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, and staff and all levels of management and employees. Previous charge or relief charge nurse responsibilities.
