Qualifications: Registered by the California State Board of Pharmacy. Successful completion of the Kaiser Outpatient Pharmacy Technician program. Must be able to either type 30 wpm, or 6000 KPH, or type prescription labels. Ability to read, understand, and transcribe pharmaceutical information. Proficient English communication skills. Working knowledge of drug dosage forms, strengths, generic and trade name traditional and current equivalents. Knowledge of Federal & State laws and regulations regarding the provision of Pharmaceutical services. Ability to learn and operate pharmacy computer system and other equipment. Requires standing for long periods of time. Ability to lift/transport 1 - 50lbs. and frequent bending, stooping and reaching. Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to customers, contracted providers, and vendors.
