Job Description
Under general direction of the Lead Occupational Therapist, will assist with the implementation of the program of Occupational Therapy within the Mental Health Unit.Education: (minimum level, plus desired) Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with a minimum of a B.A. or B.S. degree.
Special Training: (including licenses) Board Certification with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board. Active registration required after successful completion of a six to nine month internship/fieldwork program including 12 weeks in a psychosocial affiliation. Membership of the American Occupational Therapy Association and California Occupational Therapy Association current.Experience: (minimum, plus desired) Successful completion of a psycho-social internship in Occupational Therapy. Minimum of three months in an acute mental health environment, prefer one year experience in mental health practice including an acute setting.
